My name is Ama Nyamekye, and I specialize in working with people who feel unsure about their abilities or the direction of their lives (including career counseling).

I am passionate about working with you to help navigate issues related to self-esteem, career changes, and other important milestones and life transitions. Together, we can develop a personalized behavioral health and wellness plan that is culturally responsive while utilizing evidence-based modalities to support you.

Through a holistic, African-centered approach to counseling, I work collaboratively with you to explore how cultural values and practices intersect with your emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master's degree in Africana Women's Study from Clark Atlanta University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tuskegee University.

I am initiated in Akan spiritual traditions and a practitioner of Kemetic yoga and the 'Sacred Women' gateways by Queen Afua Wellness Program.

I am licensed to practice in Maryland for therapy and my life coaching services are available across the nation.
