Payment Methods

We accept most insurance plans, EAPs, HSA/FSA, charitable funds, and self-pay options, including debit cards and all major credit cards. (No cash or checks!). We also accept voucher payments from reliable funding sources.

Commercial Insurance

Most clinicians at our practice accept insurance as payment for therapy (this does not include coaching, hypnotherapy or couples counseling).

Here is a list of insurance health plans accepted below:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem
  • Humana
  • Cigna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Optum
  • United Healthcare
  • Oscar
  • CareSource (Medicaid)

You should contact your insurance plan to determine your behavioral health coverage.

Out-of-Network Insurance

We can help you get reimbursed for therapy even if we do not accept your specific insurance plan!

We recently began collaborating with Mentaya, a platform that aids in obtaining reimbursement for out-of-network therapy sessions to file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to reimburse you.

Click the link to find out your eligibility for reimbursement on therapy instantly (for US Residents only). https://app.mentaya.com/p/ZCOjUihMNS4Km44ecLi3

Some Out-of-Network plans reimburse anywhere between 50% to 90% of what we charge. At times insurance plans request upfront billing codes and you can share this list of codes for their approval:

  • 90791  Psychiatric Diagnostic Assessment

  • 90847  Family Psychotherapy, conjoint psychotherapy with the patient present

  • 90834  Psychotherapy, 45 minutes

  • 90832  Psychotherapy, 30 minutes

When using OON benefits, your therapist would provide you with a document called a "superbill," which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan, and your plan would reimburse you directly.

You can get in-network therapy if this is out of your budget. Your plan can identify providers in-network should you need to use your benefits.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We accept several EAP's including:

  • Aetna EAP
  • Cigna EAP
  • Lyra
  • Matrix Psychological Services
  • SpringHealth
  • Wellspring EAP
  • and more

Let us know which EAP (Employee Assistance Program) your employer offers and we will determine if we are on their panel.

HSA (Health Spending Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account)

We accept most Health Spending Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) as forms of payment. To find out if you are eligible for FSA or HSA, be sure to contact your benefits professional immediately at your employment.

Cost of Therapy

Our fees vary depending on the service type, duration, and the therapist's experience level. Our fully licensed clinical staff fees range from $90 to $175 for individual, family, and couples counseling. For specialized services, we offer bundled packages for Hypnotherapy, Coaching, and Consultation services. Please go to the 'Services' tab to learn more.

Equitable Tiered Plans (Affordable Therapy Rates)

We believe that healing is a collective responsibility. That is why we created pricing plans that address the disparities in healthcare access that have prevented specific segments of the population from receiving much-needed support.

This reality prompted Mrs Golden to create an equitable pricing model for economic justice. Her approach was guided by Kwanzaa Principles, developed in 1966 by Maulana Ron Karenga.

Our unique equitable model has three (3) tiers to extend support to individuals, couples, and families who would not otherwise have access.

1. The first plan tier is Nia (Purpose).

2. The second plan tier is Kujichagulia (Self Determination)

3. The third plan tier is Imani (Faith ).

Our associate-licensed therapists can offer prices 50% below market rates and our graduate clinical interns and pre-licensed therapists offer sliding-scale fees between 75% and 100% below customary market rates.

**Please note that our tiered pricing plans have some limitations that can be explained to you, and it is at the therapist's discretion to approve and reassess for appropriateness.

Wellness and liberation are impossible without collective work and responsibility. ~
