Tamika Stewart MA, LPC,CPCS

I work with children, adolescents and adults to provide a safe space to help them experience stability, growth and create sustainable change.

I am a culturally competent and trauma-informed mental health provider and advocate. I believe that cultural competency is central to helping individuals and families of color feel safe; providing space where concerns are not downplayed and symptoms are not misinterpreted.

I am a good fit for people who struggle with unhealthy parent-child relationships often stemming from a history of substance use, domestic violence, abandonment, neglect, grief/loss and other disruptive family patterns and behaviors.

My work includes suicide prevention, parent-child relationship problems, anger management, and self esteem problems. Additionally I work with people who suffer from Bipolar Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, ADHD, Trauma, Depression and Anxiety.

I am licensed as a professional counselor and currently working on a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Behavioral Health (to be conferred December 2020). I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health Education (Indiana University, Bloomington). I received my Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling in 2004. I have approximately twenty years of mental health experience in various clinical approaches to include: Client-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

I understand that it takes courage to seek assistance to disclose uncomfortable feelings to create a happier life, therefore I commend you for taking the first brave step to seek treatment.

I am available to receive new clients for telehealth services via a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform. Please call the number above to book your appointment right away.

I am currently accepting Humana Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and Tricare. I also accept several EAP plans, Health Spending Accounts, Loveland Voucher and Self Pay options.
