Right now more now than ever, we want to express the importance of caring for your emotional and mental well-being.

To assist in this endeavor, we have compiled a resource guide below.

The Practice of Self-Care

Self-care does not require you to do much. Allocate a small portion of your day to self-care activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul.

Here’s what you can do right now.

Simply roll over in bed and breathe. Feel your belly rise and fall.

Grab your journal and write before you get out of bed.

While in the shower, practice mindfulness by giving gratitude to your body parts for supporting you.

Look in the mirror and smile - feeling grateful for small accomplishments or proud moments in your life.

Forgive yourself for believing that you are somehow broken or unworthy.

Have compassion for yourself when you make a mistake and remember that YOU are not the mistake.

Read a book on boundary setting, communication or healing from mother wounds.

Use a weighted blanket or a light therapy lamp to improve your mood.  We have listed a few self care items here: https://innercoachhypnotherapy.com/self-care-tools/

Maintain Healthy Boundaries

Setting boundaries with loved ones and managing your commitments can help prevent overwhelm and reduce stress. Remember, it's okay to say ‘no’ when needed. Here’s a great article on tips to understanding and setting healthy boundaries: https://www.helpguide.org/articles/relationships-communication/setting-healthy-boundaries-in-relationships.htm
